What is the difference between therapy and coaching?
Psychotherapy is a long-term solution used to treat childhood and adult trauma, disorders of the mind (mental illness), and a variety of diagnosis found in the DSM. It’s the main treatment recommendation for anxiety, depression and addiction. Therapy is also used by everyday people with normal, everyday challenges. When you think of a therapist, think of an amazing listening friend, who accepts you no matter what.
Coaching is results based, future focused, and looks to draw out the wisdom that lies within you to get you to the next level in your life. It’s about working with your fears, inner critic, and taking action steps to reach your goals. It’s typically short term 3-6 months, although people can have coaches for years. When you think of coaching, think of a sports coach, holding up a mirror for you to see the potential that is already within, holding you accountable, and cheering you on to help you reach your goals.
Ultimately, it’s about the spaceholder’s presence and the chemistry between the two of you. Hence, we encourage you to try this through booking a free coaching chemistry call.
I’ve experienced both and have an extensive education and training (Graduate Diploma Psychotherapy and Counselling, Co-Active Coach, IIN Health Coaching, Polyvagal-Informed Nervous System education). My sessions and programs are a holistic approach as I recognise that we can be in different states in different seasons of our life, requiring different approaches. Labels aside, I focus on the whole person. The end-goal is the same: to help you break free and live well.
Please note that my sessions and programs do not substitute for therapy if needed, and does not prevent, cure, or treat any mental disorder or medical disease.
I'd like to invite you to facilitate a workshop / event / co-host a retreat.
We’d love to.

When can I start my coaching session?

What is the structure of a coaching session?
We typically start the session with a (i) definition of the topic for the day (ii) what is the reason the topic is important to you at this point in time and (iii) what does success look like at the end of the session. This allows for a sense of direction and clarity on outcome for the session.
During the session, we incorporate a wide range of mindset, emotional, visual, and body-based tools and techniques to transform your life, supported by the Circles of Congruence system.
We then co-create an action plan to work towards in between sessions.
How much time do I need to dedicate each week?
We find that a weekly coaching session works best at the beginning of our coaching relationship. There may be times when you require more frequent, or less frequent sessions and that’s completely fine. Together with your coach, you’ll find the best rhythm that suits your lifestyle and season.
Sessions take 75 mins. Some a little shorter, some a little longer. Eventually, time-wise, it balances out.
What happens if I need to reschedule the coaching call?
We understand – life happens! If you need to reschedule, please let us know at least 24 hours before our call.
We can’t refund your payments for any cancellations less than 24 hours, or if you’re more than 20 minutes late to our call.
What if I need additional support after the coaching package concludes?
Together with Jaslyn, you will review where you’re at and she will recommend the frequency and cadence moving forward, if required.
I don’t have time but I really need some help now! Can I sign up for a single session?
Of course! Life Alignment is designed with the modern, busy woman in mind. It’s a tailored approach and you are welcomed to select a single session, two sessions or four sessions.
However, our 20/30 Vision program runs for three months, and we have found that this is the optimal time required to digest the coaching materials, learn the tools, implement the change and see the results.
What is the difference between therapy and coaching? Which one are you?

What can I expect during a coaching discovery/chemistry call?
A discovery call is an initial conversation between a potential client and a coach to explore the client’s goals, challenges, and needs.
The call typically lasts around 30-45 minutes.
The goal of the call is to determine if there is a mutual fit and feels good for both parties. This will also be an opportunity to gain clarity on the ways the coach can support/elevate/expand your life.
How do I know this is the right program for me?
If you’re feeling lost, burnt out, trapped and overwhelmed in your career and relationship, coaching is a great way to reflect, break free from repeat patterns and chart your path towards fulfilment. The Busy Woman Project’s system centres on Circles of Congruence, using various tools to strengthen your mind, body and spirit to help you build a strong inner foundation to navigate life’s challenges.
Do I really need a coach? Can’t I just read a book or listen to a podcast?
While books and podcasts can provide valuable insights and inspiration, working with a coach offers personalised support, accountability, and guidance tailored specifically to your unique goals and challenges. With a coach, you’ll receive individual attention, and strategies tailored to support your journey of personal growth and feel, embody the transformation (not just in your head).
